Hello

I’m a painter and illustrator. You’ll find curious animals, quiet scenes, pretty patterns and other themes inspired by nature in my work. I try to merge my taste for vintage design with a modern style. I’ve been influenced by travel, architecture, neighborhood walks and interior design. My work is hand painted using water based acrylics on wood panels, sometimes paper. I sell my original paintings, license art and take custom commissions.

I grew up in Richmond, Va. and I received a BFA in Communication Arts & Design from VCU. About six months out of college, I moved to New York City where I received a Masters in Studio Art from NYU. I went on to work a variety of jobs before landing in the film & TV industry. For over 20 years, I worked as a union scenic artist, predominantly on TV series and countless commercials. During downtime, I continued to create my own art. I also painted custom wall murals for nurseries and playrooms. More recently, I license art and designs to companies for home decor and paper goods. I’ve illustrated two children’s books, Spring Parade 2022 and Fall Parade 2024, published by Cameron Kids/ABRAMS. I look forward to illustrating the other two seasons.

In 2023, I moved to Philadelphia to focus solely on painting and illustration projects. Life is a little more relaxed, here and I’m happy to remain close to NYC. I love my neighborhood and the community in West Mt Airy. If you follow me on IG, you’ll see plenty of neighborhood photos and reels. Pretty gardens and beautiful old trees line the sidewalks. Nature and urban life meld quite well. I’ll always treasure the memories from my years in the East Village and then Brooklyn. Philly has its own magic and so far, I’m loving it. It’s fun to learn about and explore everything this historic city has to offer.
